because its another problem, another machine, another installation, another day
although I am the same person :)

I can see this module zd1211 still loaded with lsmod, also with dmesg there is
a text saying: USB Download Boot code success

>Which source? the original zd1211.ath.cx one or the debian package?
I tried almost everything, original source (lots of versions) and also debian
source
It does not work on this i386 machine.
Please note that bluetooth memory sticks and such things work with this machine
I do not know what could be wrong.
Tried also both udev and hotplug, with no success.

What does this strange messsage means:
d1205: (exit) zd1205_config, /root/zd1211/zd1211-driver-r69/src/zd1205.c
I think the problem coud be here.

with "#: iwconfig" there is "wlan0" visible, but with "no wireless extension",
so the device is not working

Are there any required packages that could be missing?
