You mean, call it ?  I definitely don't want to c&p a bunch of git
completion code into src:dgit so I assume that's not what you're
suggesting...

See also #928704 which is this suggestion for the whole of src:dgit.
I'm afraid I haven't had a chance to incorporate that suggestion.
