Package: src:distro-info-data Severity: normal People have been scraping the distro-info-data data from Salsa, which has caused abuse concerns for Salsa admins. Some known scrapers have been blocked.
A search of GitHub shows many repos that reference this data: https://github.com/search?p=3&q=%22https%3A%2F%2Fsalsa.debian.org%2Fdebian%2Fdistro-info-data%22&type=Code Other known bugs: https://github.com/hobbyquaker/check_os_release/issues/2 We should probably provide this data on a public http interface. GitHub pages on salsa would probably be the simplest solution for now. The URLs wouldn't be pretty, though. SR
