I'm also interested in helping out with inspircd!
I've gone ahead and created a shared repo on salsa, and added VCS
information: https://salsa.debian.org/debian/inspircd imported from
Christoph's repo.
Please let me know if this works for you!
Next steps IMHO would be to package the latest version and go over
triaging bugs; I'll likely start doing that in the next few days, time
permitting
