Yes - timidity is the reason. Thank you very much! Stopping timidity activates the intern sound. I have no idea when timidity is used, but i installed the packages https://www.joonet.de/sources/timidity/debian_buster/timidity_2.14.0-9~bpo10u1_amd64.deb https://www.joonet.de/sources/timidity/debian_buster/timidity-daemon_2.14.0-9~bpo10u1_all.deb This fixed the problem and the sound is working now. This bug should be moved to timidity, it is not a problem of ALSA. Best regards karsten
