Hi! Thanks for the quick answer. I did see the generic 1.x version and I guess I can use that, but if snakeyaml moves to 2.x, all the packages that depend on the 1.x version will FTBFS, even if the "breaking" changes didn't affect them and the autopkgtests still pass with it. I would thus prefer it if there was a "debian" version available, but I understand you rationale and won't push further :) Don't feel bad about closing this bug (and all the other ones I opened against jackson-*) if you disagree.
