Package: ftp.debian.org Severity: normal Hi ftp-masters,
Please remove resmgr from unstable and testing. resmgr has a bunch of security issues, and I doubt it's secure enough for its purpose. resmgr is next to useless these days, most of what can be done with resmgr can be done with udev anyway. In other words, it's not worth the trouble. The only user in unstable/testing is k3b; I've filed a bug to get the dependency dropped (I'll block this bug with the k3b bug later). (as far as I can tell, the security issues do not affect k3b's use of resmgr) resmgr has no users in stable, so I'd suggest removing it from stable too, if this is an option. Otherwise I'll prepare an update for the security team.
