After installing libapache2-mod-php, this went OK.
Let me know if it just me.
You don’t need Apache to host a website, you need a webserver (e.g.,
Apache, Nginx, Lighttpd, etc., usually something providing httpd in
Debian). In order to run PHP scripts, you probably need to set up
something like php-fpm. Using libapache2-mod-php with Apache is another
way to do it (php-fpm works also fine with Apache).
