This bug may be related to bugs #298452, #306758, #352128 and #352461. I uploaded screenshots of this bug here: http://iki.fi/juhtolv/tmp/bugreports/gnome-panel/01/ When I log in to my Gnome-desktop, panels look like in that pic gnome-panel.01.png . Then I go to settings of that horizontal panel. I click that button "Laajenna" (Expand) twice. See pic gnome-panel.02.png: Now horizontal panel is back in normal state. Then I do the same trick to that vertical panel as seen in that pic gnome-panel.03.png . As you can see, I get error dialogs of three Gnome-applets. They can not find their icons at all.
