Could you provide more info about how you test.
I have switched to cgroupv2 one month ago(when docker.io 20.10 was
uploaded to experimental). But I haven't met errors.
The packages I used currently are:

$ dpkg-query -W docker.io runc containerd
containerd      1.4.3~ds1-1
docker.io       20.10.0+dfsg2-1
runc    1.0.0~rc92+dfsg1-5
