I can quit alsamixer on two different ways: Hitting <ESC> once or hitting <ALT> q simultaneously I don't understand what you really want? BTW, the termination is given by design. Changes should be discussed with upstream. Elimar -- Numeric stability is probably not all that important when you're guessing;-)
