Yeah, I know about it. In some package I already patched out Libs.private line out of the .pc file. It might be needed for static linking but that iirc we didn't even provide the static libraries. It is debatable whenever pkgconfig is right here, but pkgconfig developers say it works as intended. It is one of the most often asked questions about pkgconfig, btw. Thank you for the info! /mjt
