Package: synaptic Severity: normal Tags: l10n
Hello, I have problem running synaptic within my national environment. Howeve if I unset all LC_* variables then everything works fine. By setting the LC_* varables one by one I have found that the problem is with LC_COLLATE set to cs_CZ. With this setting synaptic crashes with SIGSEGV. Earlier I post comment to bug #287470 which looked familiar. I'm not sure if this is synaptic or locale problem. cs_CZ is system wide setting however and no other package has problems - 'ls' is sorting according chzech locale: scout:~# mkdir /tmp/test; cd /tmp/test; touch c ch d; ls c d ch scout:/tmp/test# (eg. 'ch' is considered single letter sorted between h and i) -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-k7 Locale: LANG=cs_CZ, LC_CTYPE=cs_CZ (charmap=ISO-8859-2) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
