Hi, Sorry for the delay and thank you for your patience. I do use faisetup-storage as a stand alone software (I don't use FAI). If I run it on a pristine machine with blank hard drives it works like a sharm.
But if for some reason I have to re-run setup-storage, I end up with error given previously. So yes the LVM volume is still active and I have to stop it. But this is not enough, I also have to wipe its signature otherwise setup-storage complains the volume is still active even if it has been completely stopped. Do you reboot the machine and start another installation? Or are you running the setup-storage script by your own? The question is if the dracut initrd (used by FAI) activates the raid and lvm devices, or if you do not reboot, and so the just created lvm+raid devices are still active. -- regards Thomas
