Package: dar Version: 2.6.2-1+b10 Severity: normal Hi,
According to the manpage, I should be able to add "par2" and just have that work. However, I had several issues: 1) First, it said it was an unrecognized target. par2 was listed in /etc/darrc, but I had to add -B /etc/darrc for par2 to be recognized. 2) /usr/share/doc/dar/examples/dar_par.dcf has the wrong path to dar_par_create.duc and dar_par_test.duc (they are in /usr/share/doc/dar/examples, not /usr/share/dar/samples). I'm not entirely sure that /usr/share/doc/dar/examples is a good place for something that gets invoked in this manner, but that is a more minor and perhaps separate question. -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.7 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.9.0-0.bpo.5-amd64 (SMP w/16 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages dar depends on: ii libassuan0 2.5.2-1 ii libattr1 1:2.4.48-4 ii libbz2-1.0 1.0.6-9.2~deb10u1 ii libc6 2.28-10 ii libdar64-6000 2.6.2-1+b10 ii libgcc1 1:8.3.0-6 ii libgcrypt20 1.8.4-5 ii libgpg-error0 1.35-1 ii libgpgme11 1.12.0-6 ii liblzma5 5.2.4-1 ii liblzo2-2 2.10-0.1 ii libstdc++6 8.3.0-6 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.11.dfsg-1 dar recommends no packages.
