I see windows being created, but after that Angband exits with the
message "Could not initialise graphics!"
>From an strace it seems a file containing graphics is missing from the
package:
open("/var/games/angband/xtra/graf/16x16.bmp", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No
such file or directory)
write(2, "angband: Could not initialise gr"..., 40angband: Could not
initialise graphics!
) = 40
exit_group(1) = ?
