The patch I submitted builds and runs fine on amd64. It should also trivially get past the assertion failure in the referenced buildd log.
I can prepare an NMU---but I'd feel better if someone with an
actual arm* machine could test it.
Also, maybe
- if not platform.uname()[4].startswith("arm"):
+ if not platform.uname().machine.startswith("arm"):
on top of the earlier patch.
