there is nothing inherently wrong with your approach, I'd say the
problem is in the Python2 removal scrips here.

To me it feels like a onetime problem related
to the Python 2 -> 3 transtion.

Not saying that generating control files would be wrong,
either approach works.

I've rescheduled for immediate upload due to the bullseye freeze deadline.

If everything goes well (and noone touches the package in the meantime),
nuitka should be back in bullseye on Thursday.
