My current guess looking at things around the package is that it is ok on my build to have it in etc/squid, plus is a good place for a config file, so... everything looks ok. I'm doing a last build and I'll run some tests with it tomorrow. I'll try to push my changes to git now in case anybody has the time to play with it, but it looks like everybody is out of time currently. I've been busy lately so I couldn't take care of this, now we are in a hurry if we want this for Bullseye, if we are not already too late :-( If nobody objects and I see it fine on my tests tomorrow I'll write about this to -release and push it to unstable.
