Pygame community/devs do not have resources to dive into older 1.9.6 issues, OR point to Wayland/Gnome. Not sure what would be best for Debian: maybe remove it, with arguments: - Python 3.9 and pygame 1.9.6 seems a strange combo - it is pretty easy to install pygame 2.0.1 via pip - you do not want to have packages in your distro which crash Wayland...
