Svartoyg reports that Debian installer 10.8.0 would not write file
systems to disk if an EFI partition was installed first. His report
consists of -notebook with 17''-display and Ryzen5-CPU. had problems
with EFI and IOMMU

This problems with the installer not writing file system to disk have
been observed also with the Dell XPS 15 7590, and other newer systems.
