I agree. Cons has essentially been supplanted by SCons (albeit
Conscripts are not directly compatible with SCons, some work is required
to migrate). I no longer use Cons as I've migrated all my Cons-based
project to SCons, and furthermore Cons has unresolved bugs that probably
will never be fixed. Upstream has essentially abandoned it many years
ago.  I have no plans to make any further uploads of Cons.  It may be
safely removed from the archive.
