Dear Maintainer,
I currently hit a problem with claws-mail: it freezes during network
changes. This problem is known upstream and a fix exists, as stated in
the following upstream bug report in 2018:

The proposed fix is to compile claws-mail with NetworkManager support.
It appears that this is not the case in the current Debian package, as
can be seen in the Help > About > Options dialog in claws-mail, or in
the output of `claws-mail --version-full`:
