It seems that the config file ~/.gnupg/options is no longer read, and it's now reading (among others) ~/.gnupg/gpg.conf Jakub Wilk bisected it and pointed to this commit: https://github.com/gpg/gnupg/commit/a028f24136a062f5 It's not the type of change I expect in the 2.2 series. It's also not mentioned anywhere is a changelog or news entry. Kurt
