Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***
* What led up to the situation?
Trying to dump dmidecode information via the -u/--dump switch into a bin file.
Running dmidecode -t 1 -u produces a segmentation fault
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
* What was the outcome of this action?
Segmentation fault.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
The ability to pipe the output to a file for use later. Segmentation fault
causes the command to exit before the output redirect is performed.
This appears to be fixed in commit 11e134e54d15e67a64c39a623f492a28df922517
upstream.
