--- Dear Bernhard, thankyou for maintaining the OpenVPN package :) OpenVPN 2.5.2 was released by upstream some days ago and I eagerly await it to be available through packages.debian.org too ... but however - may I please point your attention to this issue https://community.openvpn.net/openvpn/ticket/1316 which is apparently fixed in 2.5.2 (couldn't yet test this by myself) and - according to their notes - was apparently introduced with the beginning of their 2.5 branch. I run a standard client<>server setup and see the exact same failures for no apparent reason here as well - so the committed bits https://community.openvpn.net/openvpn/ticket/1316#comment:13 might be a candidate for some cherry-pick to already released packages too (bullseye?). ----
