Package: postfix Version: 3.5.6-1+b1 Severity: normal Hi, i am one the few still using uucp on my notebook so my default transport is a uucp smarthost.
Postfix sets the default_transport in postinst without the possibility to override it. So whenever i do a reconfigure this setting will be broken. My preferred way would be that this is a priority low debconf question with a default on smtp. flo@p5:~$ sudo postconf -n alias_database = hash:/etc/aliases alias_maps = hash:/etc/aliases compatibility_level = 2 default_transport = uucp inet_interfaces = all inet_protocols = all mailbox_command = procmail -a "$EXTENSION" mailbox_size_limit = 0 mydestination = p5.zz.de, localhost myhostname = p5.zz.de mynetworks = 127.0.0.0/8 [::ffff:127.0.0.0]/104 [::1]/128 myorigin = /etc/mailname recipient_delimiter = + relay_transport = smtp relayhost = pax.zz.de smtpd_relay_restrictions = permit_mynetworks permit_sasl_authenticated defer_unauth_destination Flo -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers testing-security APT policy: (500, 'testing-security'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-6-amd64 (SMP w/16 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.utf-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages postfix depends on: ii adduser 3.118 ii cpio 2.13+dfsg-4 ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.75 ii dpkg 1.20.9 ii e2fsprogs 1.46.2-1 ii libc6 2.31-11 ii libdb5.3 5.3.28+dfsg1-0.8 ii libicu67 67.1-6 ii libnsl2 1.3.0-2 ii libsasl2-2 2.1.27+dfsg-2.1 ii libssl1.1 1.1.1k-1 ii lsb-base 11.1.0 ii netbase 6.3 ii ssl-cert 1.1.0 Versions of packages postfix recommends: ii ca-certificates 20210119 ii python3 3.9.2-3 Versions of packages postfix suggests: ii libsasl2-modules 2.1.27+dfsg-2.1 ii mailutils [mail-reader] 1:3.10-3+b1 ii mutt [mail-reader] 2.0.5-4 pn postfix-cdb <none> pn postfix-doc <none> pn postfix-ldap <none> pn postfix-lmdb <none> pn postfix-mysql <none> pn postfix-pcre <none> pn postfix-pgsql <none> pn postfix-sqlite <none> ii procmail 3.22-26 pn resolvconf <none> ii thunderbird [mail-reader] 1:78.10.0-1 pn ufw <none> -- debconf information: * postfix/mynetworks: 127.0.0.0/8 [::ffff:127.0.0.0]/104 [::1]/128 * postfix/chattr: true * postfix/procmail: true * postfix/mailbox_limit: 0 * postfix/protocols: all postfix/retry_upgrade_warning: postfix/mydomain_warning: postfix/dynamicmaps_conversion_warning: postfix/compat_conversion_warning: true * postfix/relayhost: pax.zz.de * postfix/destinations: p5.zz.de, localhost postfix/relay_restrictions_warning: postfix/sqlite_warning: postfix/not_configured: postfix/tlsmgr_upgrade_warning: * postfix/recipient_delim: + * postfix/root_address: [email protected] postfix/newaliases: false postfix/lmtp_retired_warning: true postfix/main_cf_conversion_warning: true postfix/bad_recipient_delimiter: postfix/kernel_version_warning: * postfix/main_mailer_type: Internet with smarthost * postfix/mailname: p5.zz.de postfix/rfc1035_violation: false -- Florian Lohoff [email protected] Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
