No, currently postinst when run in a chroot does as little as possible and probably it's better to keep it this way.
I am not sure if it's a good idea to unconditionally create the rules in chroot installs, I'd rather do it only if postinst is running in a d-i chroot. Is there a test which I can use for this? -- ciao, Marco
