Package: src:jinja2
Version: 2.11.3-1
Severity: wishlist

Dear maintainer,

At the moment, the python3-jinja2 binary package ships vim extensions.
In my opinion, it doesn't really make sense to install these files in
this package, as people might not have vim installed at all.

Would it be possible to install them in a vim-jinaj2 binary package, as
most other vim addon packages in Debian do?

Debian now has dh-vim-addon [1] to manage the installation procedure of
vim packages. It does "the right thing" (makes vim packages suitable for
the "new" vim :packadd feature) and generally helps make all vim
packages consistent.

Please consider migrating to it at the same time.

Here's an example of a package using it:

Cheers,
