if you want to test a 5.99 version of KiCad you will need to install the packages from experimental. unstable/sid is currently providing the latest stable version 5.1.10, but due the currently ongoing freeze of testing this version isn't migrating to testing. > $ rmadison kicad > kicad | 0.20140622+bzr4027-3 | oldoldstable > | source, amd64, armel, armhf, i386 > kicad | 4.0.5+dfsg1-4 | oldstable > | source, amd64, arm64, armel, armhf, i386, mips, mipsel, ppc64el > kicad | 4.0.7+dfsg1-1~bpo9+1 | stretch-backports > | source, armel, mips, mipsel, ppc64el > kicad | 4.0.7+dfsg1-1~bpo9+1 | stretch-backports-debug > | source > kicad | 5.0.2+dfsg1-1~bpo9+1 | stretch-backports > | source, amd64, arm64, armhf, i386 > kicad | 5.0.2+dfsg1-1~bpo9+1 | stretch-backports-debug > | source > kicad | 5.0.2+dfsg1-1 | stable > | source, amd64, arm64, armhf, i386 > kicad | 5.1.6+dfsg1-1~bpo9+1 | stretch-backports-sloppy > | source, amd64, armhf, i386 > kicad | 5.1.6+dfsg1-1~bpo9+1 | stretch-backports-sloppy-debug > | source > kicad | 5.1.9+dfsg1-1~bpo10+1 | buster-backports > | source, amd64, arm64, armhf, i386, mips64el, ppc64el > kicad | 5.1.9+dfsg1-1~bpo10+1 | buster-backports-debug > | source > kicad | 5.1.9+dfsg1-1 | testing > | source, amd64, arm64, armhf, i386, mips64el, ppc64el > kicad | 5.99.0+really5.1.10+dfsg1-1 | unstable > | source, amd64, arm64, armhf, i386, mips64el, ppc64el > kicad | 5.99.0+really5.1.10+dfsg1-1 | unstable-debug > | source > kicad | 6.0.0~20210702.eff75b6+dfsg1-1 | experimental > | source, amd64, arm64, armhf, i386, mips64el, ppc64el > kicad | 6.0.0~20210702.eff75b6+dfsg1-1 | experimental-debug > | source @Seth Can please have a look at the full story? https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=991642 The user Hans is using a NVidia card GF-8600GS and has some problems to use shortcuts and parts of the various parts of KiCad. My guess is that this is hardly related to an underlying graphic card problem and not basically a kicad problem within the Debian packaging. I've no NVidia cards anywhere and can't adjust anything to reproduce the behavior. For now I can't do something useful regarding this bug report. -- Regards Carsten
