Source: git-buildpackage Version: 0.9.22 Severity: wishlist The GNOME project has adopted a new version numbering scheme [1]. Here are version numbers sorted in order from oldest to newest: 40.alpha 40.beta 40.rc 40.0 40.1
Here are the version numbers mangled so they sort correctly on Debian: 40~alpha 40~beta 40~rc 40.0 40.1 The Debian GNOME team uses gbp's upstream-vcs-tag feature and we'd like to set it in debian/gbp.conf so it finds the git tag that corresponds with the upstream version number as handled by uscan (see the debian/watch file at [2]). I don't see a way to change a period (.) to a tilde (~) only when followed by a letter.
