It happened due to very long time to live of an incoming message. There is already a bug for this, <https://bugs.debian.org/993243>. And I am going to propose the patch there for the next point release. Yet for now you can try backported version 2.9.2. To install packages from backports repository, follow official guide at <https://backports.debian.org/Instructions/>.
