I was trying to use "1x - 4x" Phillips CDRW in a
# lshw
product: PHILIPS DVDR1648P1
version: P1.2
serial: DM100533005316
capabilities: packet atapi cdrom removable nonmagnetic dma lba iordy
audio cd-r cd-rw dvd dvd-r

I wish cdrecord would say "the disk you inserted says its maximum
speed is 4x, and your PHILIPS DVDR1648P1 says its minimum speed is ??x"
??x: it is not printed on the DVDR1648P1's box's technical
specifications. All it says there is "32x CDRW".
What a shame the Philips recorder can't record on Philips CDRW
disks apparently.
