This is the preferred method for dealing with multiple packages that provide different implementations of the same command (see Policy 3.9 Maintainer Scripts). This method has the advantage that if one or both of the would-be conflicting packages have additional functionality not in the other package (e.g. tune.exfat which is in exfatprogs but not in exfat-utils), both can be installed, making the combined functionality available. ...Marvin
