Package: ftp-ssl
Severity: wishlist

The BSD-4-clause license that is in use in ftp-ssl applies only to files that have a copyright by The Regents of the University of California. It is well known that they allow to drop the advertisement clause (3.) from the license, resulting in BSD-3-clause.

Please apply that change in debian/copyright and add a note that the advertisement clause on all contained BSD-4-clause licensed files is void.

Also, OpenSSL is handled as a system library in Debian now, which enables GPL programs to link with libssl.

These changes allow dropping the readline -> editline patches and building the program with readline again.
