You meant to close this bug, but perhaps your inner conscience kept you from actually doing it ;) I can confirm this "feature" is real. I try to keep Xprint from crashing, ever, of course, but in the unfortunate event that it should ever do so, the submitter is correct that firefox leaves too. As far as I can tell firefox is not actually crashing, it's *choosing* to exit. It seems like a bugblatter-beast-from-Traal syndrome, "if this service I'm trying to connect to has crashed, then I must be crashed too". Which, I agree with the bug submitter, seems a little churlish of it. I got the crashing last week, so it was in firefox 1.5. I got it while testing Xprint permutations under X11R7, I think it happened when trying to run an X11R7.1 (cvs) Xprint over Debian's X11R7.0 libxfont. If you want I can pass you the pernicious Xprt binary (or even homebrew you one specially) and you can watch it bring down firefox before you even get the chance to say "but but I temporarily disabled Xprint support!".
