I have to admit that I'm very confused by the name of this command line flag and the action it actually does. So --no-restart-after-upgrade actually means the service is restarted during the upgrade. I think it should have been named something like --stop-and-start(-on-upgrade) to actually describe what it does.
In the same way, I find that replacing --no-restart-on-upgrade with --no-stop-on-upgrade not a good idea either (or the -r shortcut)
