FWIW, this is fixed in plocate, which replaces mlocate in bookworm. So this issue would potentially only be fixed in stable, and I doubt it would be relevant for a stable mlocate update. What plocate does is: [Timer] OnCalendar=daily RandomizedDelaySec=12h AccuracySec=20min Persistent=true /* Steinar */
