Hi, Yeah, I guess I really should have marked this bug as confirmed and pending yesterday when I started working on the RPM packaging... Thanks for doing this; it is indeed part of the commits that I just pushed - see https://salsa.debian.org/pkg-rpm-team/rpm/-/commits/master/ As mentioned in my comment in another bugreport, my next steps will be to update RPM to version 4.17 and drop the debugedit package. I hope that I will be able to do this within the next day or two. If you prefer, you can leave this upload in the delayed queue just in case I don't make it so that the FTBFS bug gets fixed.
