Package: kmod
Version: 27-1ubuntu2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I think that a nice improvement would be to use short options for those GNU
tools that have different implementations. Specifically in this case I'm
referring to cmp, which currently uses "--quiet". In this way this scripts will
work with implementations like busybox.

I have submitted a MR which can be found in:

https://salsa.debian.org/md/kmod/-/merge_requests/4

Thanks in advance,

Walter
