Dear Maintainer,

I viewed a text/html email, shown as plain text. Selecting v to view
attachments, and then selecting the text/html part and typing Enter
also showed the plain text.

I expected that lynx would be invoked when I type Enter when viewing
attachments, like in Debian 9. /etc/mailcap contains several lines
for dealing with text/html, and adding such a line to ~/.mailcap did
not make a difference.

This seems to be a new incarnation of bug 823971. Fortunately the
same workaround of using "m" instead of Enter in the attachment
viewing mode works.

Sorry, using "m" isn't a "workaround". The default bindings in upstream Mutt have *always* been <Enter> => <view-attach> and "m" => <view-mailcap>.

At one point, Debian's version carried an external patch changing the default keybinding, but Debian is now using a minimally changed version of Mutt.

Antonio can pipe in about his intentions with respect to the Debian package, but personally I have no plans on changing the default in upstream.

Of course, you are free to rebind to your tastes yourself! :-)
