Further information from IRC: The issue was not part of the 0.5.0-1 package from snapshot, but only appeared in the rebuild 0.5.0-1+b1.
In building 0.5.0-1 in a clean sid chroot (with usrmerge), I get the same issue of the service file being put in both /lib and /usr/lib. It seems to me the bug could be in the debian build chain. jaimos
