I think this is #349371: poppler: cairo output breaks rendering in
evince

* Disable cairo output for unstable, cairo rendering will stay
enabled in cairo version in experimental.

I have just upgraded libpoppler to 0.4.5-4 (in which cairo output is
still disabled), and evince 0.4.0-1 now correctly renders all the
example PDFs mentioned here. I think this bug can be closed.
