Package: lightdm Version: 1.26.0-8 Severity: normal The user which is running lightdm starts all "user" services which are enabled by default, which might include pipewire (and I guess pulseaudio), gnupg.. synchthing.
I find this behavior undersiderable. pipewire/pulseaudio could probably by used by the theme to provide audio in the session, but most other services only make sense for a real user. It seems like lightdm might befinit from a strictly defined list of services instead of starting a full-fledged user session that results in this behavior. -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (900, 'unstable'), (800, 'experimental'), (500, 'unstable-debug') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.15.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_USER Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages lightdm depends on: ii adduser 3.118 ii dbus 1.12.20-3 ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.79 ii libaudit1 1:3.0.6-1+b1 ii libc6 2.33-3 ii libgcrypt20 1.9.4-5 ii libglib2.0-0 2.70.2-1 ii libpam-systemd [logind] 250.3-1 ii libpam0g 1.4.0-11 ii libxcb1 1.14-3 ii libxdmcp6 1:1.1.2-3 ii lightdm-gtk-greeter [lightdm-greeter] 2.0.8-2+b1 ii lsb-base 11.1.0 Versions of packages lightdm recommends: pn xserver-xorg <none> Versions of packages lightdm suggests: pn accountsservice <none> pn upower <none> ii xserver-xephyr 2:21.1.3-1 -- Configuration Files: /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf changed: [LightDM] [Seat:*] greeter-hide-users=true [XDMCPServer] [VNCServer]
