I'm reverting the auto-detection for now, in the upcoming 97.0.4692.99 release. Wayland users are reporting breakage in https://bugs.debian.org/1003689 , although newer versions work. We'll reintroduce it in a few months. In the meantime, users who want native wayland support can manually start chromium with --ozone-platform=wayland
