This will be the bugreport we will use to investgate the failing tests.

Build log for hurd is here:
https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=sudo&arch=hurd-i386&ver=1.9.9-1&stamp=1643664021&raw=0

I don't see any failed tests, but
Makefile:636: recipe for target 'check' failed
make[3]: *** [check] Error 3
make[3]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/build-simple/plugins/sudoers'
Makefile:114: recipe for target 'check' failed
make[2]: *** [check] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/build-simple'
dh_auto_test: error: cd build-simple && make -j1 check VERBOSE=1 returned exit
code 2
debian/rules:50: recipe for target 'override_dh_auto_test' failed
make[1]: *** [override_dh_auto_test] Error 255
make[1]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>'
debian/rules:37: recipe for target 'build-arch' failed
make: *** [build-arch] Error 2
dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules build-arch subprocess returned exit
status 2

That doesn't make sense to me from the logs.

It would help if I got access to lemon.debian.net; maybe the local admin
can also give information why the build fails. What do I do to get
access to lemon and sudo's build-depends installed?

Greetings
Marc
