Elpa-scala-mode clears the path, but this ITP is still blocked by Auctex #921328, and I've lost the motivation to resolve that. There are also a couple of other failing tests that I haven't been able to resolve. Thus, I offer up my work to whoever would like to carry the baton to the finish line. The format is similar to git-describe, eg: 1.11.0+180.g911cc89 $upstream_stable_version + $commits_since_stable_version . g $short_hash It's a cool package that I'd love to see in Debian :-) Regards, Nicholas
