5.36-5 does the same thing. > If this doesn't help please try the following: > Get the smartmontools source, comment out or remove the last line in > debian/patches/00list (60_cciss), rebuild the package and see if it > works then. Same thing if I remove the 60_cciss line from patches/00list and then re-run "dpkg-buildpackage". I got 5.36-1 from snapshots.debian.net and it also doesn't want to install. The 5.33+5.34cvs20050802-4 actually installed, but it gave me this error message: Stopping S.M.A.R.T. daemon: smartd. Enabling S.M.A.R.T. for: /dev/sdaunable to fetch IEC (SMART) mode page [unsupported field in scsi command] (failed) /dev/sdbunable to fetch IEC (SMART) mode page [unsupported field in scsi command] (failed). Starting S.M.A.R.T. daemon: smartd. invoke-rc.d: initscript smartmontools, action "start" failed. If there's any other version you'd like me to test, please tell me. I'd really like to help get this bug resolved as well and I know how hard it can be to debug problems without the actual hardware :) Francois -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
