Upstream made a few crash fixes a few weeks ago which I have now cherry-picked and released as 1.24-2. Please try that and tell if it helps for your scenario. If it doesn't, I propose that you pass the debug information upstream directly (I can also do it, but have no special skills so will simply act as a proxy for you, which might not be as efficient).
