Just for your information. The bug actually occures when http_proxy is set to a special value in the environment of the calling agent. My gnome environment for unknown reasons sets http_proxy when using "root terminal" (which uses gksu) to something like "http:///" and this makes apt-get (and aptitude) to submit http requests containinh full URIs (including the host name) even if sources.list is perfectly valid (and actually works after unsetting http_proxy) dam - -- Damyan Ivanov Creditreform Bulgaria [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.creditreform.bg/ phone: +359(2)928-2611, 929-3993 fax: +359(2)920-0994 mob. +359(88)856-6067 [EMAIL PROTECTED]/Gaim -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.3 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFEVjTLHqjlqpcl9jsRAjT4AJ97qVuQIABqzWw2POjvH5Nh30NtAwCeJM5e euY0vrDHF3hxFetVnF+X0tw= =w99B -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
